WHEN CAN I RENT?
Management begins taking rental applications on September 1, 2011 for September 1st move-ins. Units are available on a first come, first served basis.
WHAT ARE THE RENTAL TERMS?
Units are available starting September 1, 2011 through January 1, 2012, with all leases terminating April 30th. All tenants must understand that they will have to leave by April 30th.
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
In order to be eligible to rent, a Seasonal Rental Approval Packet must be filled out and returned to the Aspen Housing Office with $25 application fee payable to the City of Aspen. Non-U.S. citizens must provide proof of legal status before occupancy is allowed. Employment verification will be expected before December 10th. You can move into Marolt before being employed; however, if you have not been employed full time within the county by the cut-off date, you will have to move out. Management retains the right to refuse rental to anyone at any time.
MAY I BRING MY CAR?
Please be aware that the Marolt Ranch is an auto-disincentive property. This means that parking is unavailable with the exception of a few spaces that are rented for $75 a month. The free bus system in the Aspen area is one of the best in the country. Cars are an inconvenience at best in this town during the winter season, so you would do well to not bring one or be prepared to store it for the winter if you plan to stay at this property.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE UNITS?
Rooms are approximately 13 feet by 12 feet with one room up front and another in back which are the same size and are separated by the kitchen, closet, and bathroom area. The kitchen consists only of a counter, sink, microwave, and small refrigerator. Other cooking items are permitted to be brought in with the exception of bottled fuel appliances. See below for viewing a typical unit layout and pictures.
FURNISHINGS:
The units are furnished with 2 twin beds, a day bed/sofa, tables, chairs and lamps. All linens, cooking items and toiletries must be purchased or brought by tenants. Several second hand shops are available in Aspen for purchase of necessary items. Do not plan on leaving anything behind when you leave at the end of the season. Units should be returned in the condition in which they were first occupied or you may lose your deposit.
