Burlingame Ranch Project Information
 

The construction of the Phase I units was completed in December of 2008.  The first 91 units have been sold.  Currently, the City Council is reviewing the completion of Burlingame by combing Phase II and Phase III together.  Construction will probably not start for these last two phases until some time in 2009 with completion in 2010.  Updated information will be placed on the web site when new information has been conveyed to the Housing Office.  Thank you for a successful completion of Phase I.

The project site for Burlingame Ranch employee housing development is located at the north end of the Bar/X Ranch.  The site is approximately 31 acres. The AABC is north of the site, the Bar/X Ranch to the south, Deer Hill to the west, and the Roaring Fork River borders the property to the east. 236 units are approved for this location in three phases.  The first phase began in 2005. 
 
The unit, type, and categories are mixed within Phase I supporting the goal to create a community that is integrated by size and category.  The community will continue to be oriented toward the bicycle and pedestrian. Three transit stops will be constructed along the transit loop, which will be fully functional for residents of Phase I. 
Phase I included a total of 91 units -- 84 multi-family dwelling units and 7 lots.  Sixty-six of the units were developed to allow for an additional vertical expansion. 
 
 
The units are broken down as follows:
 
15 - One-Bedroom/One-Bath @ approximately 500 square feet
30 - Two-Bedroom/One-Bath @ approximately 1,000 square feet
39 - Three-Bedroom/Two-Bath @ approximately 1,500 square feet
7 - Lots (can build up to a 2,200 square foot single-family home with a 500 square foot garage; the costs of the lots does not include water and sewer tap fees but is included in the maximum completion price)
 
5 RO Lots and 2 Cat 6 lots were sold thru lottery in January, 2006. Owners were allowed to begin construction late summer of 2006. 
 
 
This project does not allow dogs due to the proximity of the Ranch, but will allow indoor cats.  This is not negotiable as it is a requirement of the annexation of the Bar/X Ranch.
