Marolt Ranch Seasonal Housing

 
RESERVATIONS FOR THE 2011- 2012 SKI SEASON HAS STARTED!
 
 
 
Located just 3/4 mile from downtown Aspen with free bus service, the Marolt Ranch is a seasonal housing project owned and operated by the City of Aspen.  To hold your unit, a security deposit, 1st month's and last month's rent are needed.  The current rental rate depends on the time a lease is signed (see below).  All leases run until April 30, 2012. The security deposit is equal to one month's rent.  You will be responsible to pay rent from the time deposit is received.  Included in the rental amount are all utilities (except cable television, internet and phone).  Maximum occupancy per unit is 3 people.

1)     1.  Contact the Property Manager to ensure availability.

2)     2.  Submit the following documentation with a Seasonal Rental Approval Form to the Aspen Housing Office: 
 
(a)   A valid Colorado driver's license or ID card; or a US military card or military dependent's ID card; or a US coast guard merchant mariner card; or a native American tribal document; or a Passport with valid U.S. authorization; AND
 
(b)   Lawful Presence Affidavit (The affidavit will be verified thru the System Alien Verification for Entitlements, also known as the SAVE program; AND
 
(c)   Employment Verification Form for each employer (FULL TIME employment, a minimum of 30 hours per week, for the season in Pitkin County must be verified BEFORE December 10, 2011)AND
 
(d) $25.00 application fee, payable to the "City of Aspen".
 
      **The Housing Office will fax the approval to the Property Manager.
 
3)    3.  Contact the Property Manager to schedule a time to sign a lease and pay deposit of monies.  Cashier’s checks and money orders only.
 
·       Make cashier’s checks payable to the “City of Aspen” for the stated amount above in USD (First month’s rent, last month’s rent and security deposit).
 
 
TO TO CONDITIONALLY SECURE A UNIT BY MAIL:
 
1)    1.  Talk to Property Manager to ensure availability.
 
2)    2.  Submit a completed and signed copy of the Marolt Ranch Housing Conditional Agreement with payment for the deposit monies to the Property Manager, Cashier’s checks and money orders only. Please include all applicants' names and contact information.
 
      3.  Make checks payable to the “City of Aspen” for the stated amount above in USD (First month’s rent, last month’s rent and security deposit) and mail to:

3)    4.  Obtain e-mail confirmation from the Property Manager.
 
4)    5.  When you arrive, submit Seasonal Rental Approval Form, that includes:
 
(a)   A valid Colorado driver's license or a Colorado ID card; or a US military card or military dependent's ID card; or a US coast guard merchant mariner card; or a native American tribal document; AND

AND/OR MOVE IN UNTIL APPROVED BY THE HOUSING OFFICE
 
NO UNIT IS GUARANTEED UNTIL A LEASE IS SIGNED.
